Medium School
Can a Person Go to School or a Workshop to Become a Medium?
In today’s post, I want to dive into a topic I recently chatted about with my mom:
Can someone actually go to school to learn how to become a medium?

Now, let’s dive into today’s topic:
It all started when my mother attended a fundraiser where a psychic medium was offering group readings. During the event, the woman mentioned that she had gone to school to become a medium. That statement instantly made my mom raise an eyebrow. After all, she raised a medium—me—and has watched me grow into an adult who continues to surprise her (or at least, I like to think so 😄).
She later asked for my opinion:
Do I think someone can go to school to learn to become a medium?
Here’s how I explained it:
Mediumship is a lot like athletic ability. Some people are simply born with natural talent—they don’t have to work hard, and everything just flows. Others may not be “naturals” but are deeply committed and train consistently to cultivate the power that lies within them. Then, there’s the rare gem: someone with natural talent and the willingness to train hard. That’s when you get a GOAT—the Greatest Of All Time. These individuals are rare because natural talent doesn’t always come with the drive to work at it.
And then, of course, there are the people who think sports are silly—or just have no interest in them whatsoever. These are the skeptics in the mediumship world. The ones who think we’re all frauds and that spirits or paranormal activity don’t exist at all.
So, do I believe anyone can become a medium?
Yes, I truly do. With commitment, patience, and practice, anyone can cultivate this ability. It’s not easy, and it doesn’t happen overnight—but I believe it’s possible.
That said, would I be able to teach an adult how to develop their mediumship? Honestly, I don’t think so. I’ve never had to work on developing it—it’s always just been there for me. But don’t misunderstand me—I do work on maintaining and managing it. I pray, meditate, and actively work on protecting my energy and commanding my space. So in a sense, yes, that’s a form of training—just different from starting from scratch.
If you’ve read my other blog posts, you may remember I’ve worked with a child in my neighborhood who was experiencing the same things I did as a kid. That? I can do. That, I understand.
But if you're an adult who has been experiencing psychic or empathic abilities—especially if you didn’t have supportive parents or a happenstance medium living next door—please know that I’m here for you.
