Firefighters Destiny

The picture read that I've chosen for today actually only came to me about two days ago. (I am only getting around to posting this much later, it is however Up on my YouTube channel)

Please take a minute to actually look at this picture. The colors, the clarity, the whole feel of it—just soak the picture in. I don't know, there's just something about it. If you're looking at it, you'll probably be like, "Yeah, you know what? She's right. It is beautiful."

Meanwhile, I don't even know who took the picture.

Today I finally got a chance to sit in a quiet space. It was a nice, calm morning—a little calm before the Milton storm hits—and meditate on a couple of pictures that I needed to catch up on.

This mediumship thing is a wild gift that is sometimes hard to explain, but here I am sharing it, understanding it, and building a community around it so we can all help each other. I certainly didn't know anyone else like me when I was a kid. Now I have a couple of people around me as an adult, and we have this wonderful thing called the internet that allows us to find each other.

That's also a big part of why I created the Medium in Motion Clubhouse on Skool—a place where we can talk about intuition, energy, mediumship, picture reads, and all the weird stuff that can be pretty hard to explain to people who just don't get it.

So, back to the picture.

Usually when I'm looking at a picture, I'll get something like, "Oh, this person's around," or I'll feel a mother energy, a father energy, something to that effect.

This one was different.

The person in the picture is very much alive.

What I actually got was this overwhelming feeling that he is right where he needs to be.

He is exactly where he's supposed to be, doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing.

I believe that when we enter into this life's incarnation, we choose a life path. I look at it somewhat similarly to tarot cards. You have certain events in your life that are concrete. They're going to happen. There's no changing them. But the majority of the deck—and the majority of our lives—is influenced by free will.

You may be heading toward a particular outcome, but free will can adjust and change things along the way.

Then there are those concrete events.

And what I got from this picture was that this firefighter is destined to be a firefighter.

I also got the feeling that maybe there had been some doubt or hesitation somewhere along the way. And I know that can happen with this kind of career. It's scary. They do dangerous things, and it isn't only the firefighter who carries that weight. Their families do, too.

Especially right now.

This picture came to me after Hurricane Helene and while we're preparing here in Florida for Hurricane Milton.

People don't always realize how many additional dangers emergency services deal with after a hurricane. Flooding can lead to electrical fires, and salt water and lithium-ion batteries definitely don't mix. Electric vehicles, golf carts, and other battery-powered equipment can become serious hazards when they're submerged.

So these firefighters and emergency personnel aren't just dealing with the storm itself. They're dealing with everything that comes afterward.

And what happened up in the Carolinas and Tennessee after Helene is just mind-blowing. Now we have Milton out there, so we're praying for our Florida coast and hoping everyone stays as safe as possible.

But the message I kept getting from this firefighter's picture was incredibly simple:

No doubts.

You're where you're supposed to be.

You're following your life path.

You're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing.

Sometimes we just need that confirmation in our lives. When we're feeling lost or stuck, it's nice to get that little reminder that says, Keep going.

Maybe it's your mom saying, "Good job."

Maybe it's your dad saying he's proud of you.

I know that doesn't always make sense when I try to explain it, but I don't really know how else to describe this aspect of what I do. Sometimes the message isn't complicated. Sometimes it's simply:

You're on the right path. You're doing the right thing. Keep going.

I don't personally know who is in this picture. I don't know the firefighter, and I don't know who took the photo.

I did return the reading to the person who sent it to me, and they responded with an awesome thank-you and told me that the affirmation was a much-needed message right now.

So maybe that means I hit the ball out of the park, so to speak, with this reading.

I hope so.

More than anything, I hope it gives some comfort to that firefighter—and maybe to other emergency service workers and their families, too.

Our emergency services have really been stepping up through all of this, and I couldn't be more thankful.

So that's my reading for today.

Let's pray that the rest of Florida's hurricane season doesn't wreak too much havoc, that the recovery from these storms goes as smoothly as possible, that our government gets their shit together, and that our coastlines and communities aren't left dealing with mold, rot, looters, and everything else that can come after a major storm.

And especially, let's hope our emergency services have as smooth and safe a time as possible doing a job that most of us would never want to have to do.
