Prankster Ghosts: Spirits Living Their Best Afterlife
Welcome back to The Hidden Medium. In this episode, we’re bringing some levity into the paranormal world by talking about a group of playful spirits—four prankster ghosts who are having the time of their afterlife. This is the first in a series of episodes where we’ll explore their mischievous antics, so buckle up for some fun ghost stories.
Ghosts in the Medical Examiner’s Office
One of my closest friends is a forensic toxicologist. I like to tease her by saying she works with blood and semen, but she’s quick to remind me that most of her job actually involves eye fluid (still gross, if you ask me).
She often sends me pictures from her workplace, and since there’s a constant flow of bodies and body fluids passing through, I never really know what to expect.
When she sent me this first photo, the image that immediately came to mind was a classic Scooby-Doo hallway chase scene—you know, where characters run in and out of doors after the masked villain is revealed.
That’s exactly what I saw playing out in this picture. These four prankster spirits are living it up, zipping back and forth, cutting across hallways, and finding endless joy in messing with the living.
Paranormal Activity: Haunted Toilets and Moving Water Coolers
My friend later confirmed what I saw. That very evening, one of her coworkers complained about a toilet that kept flushing on its own. Another, who had worked there longer, shrugged it off and said, “Oh, there’s nothing wrong with the toilets—they just flush on their own.”
The same goes for the water cooler and the entry mats. People often grumble about them being shifted out of place, only to move them back—completely unaware that spirits are the ones causing the mischief.
The ghosts find this hilarious. They laugh, watching people get annoyed at objects moving or flushing toilets with no explanation. They thrive on that frustration, feeding off the confusion and reactions of the living.
Spirit Photobombs: Ghosts That Love the Camera
A little later, my friend sent me a second picture. By this point, she already knew about the four prankster ghosts. When I tuned in to the photo, I saw them hiding behind desks and chairs, waiting for her to click the shot.
I told her, “You need to take a selfie.”
She trusted me, turned the camera around, and snapped the selfie. Sure enough, when the picture came through, the ghosts jumped into the frame—photobombing her selfie like playful kids caught in the act.
It was official: by taking that selfie, she was now part of their crew. They had accepted her into their afterlife clan, and they weren’t going anywhere. These ghosts found a willing playmate, and they were going to keep showing up in her pictures for as long as she let them.
Psychic Medium Insights: Why Prankster Ghosts Stick Around
Not all spirits linger because of trauma or unfinished business. Some stick around simply because they’re having fun. These four pranksters don’t seem to want to leave. They’ve carved out their own afterlife playground and are enjoying every second of it—whether it’s flushing toilets, moving mats, or photobombing selfies.
Their joy is contagious, and they remind us that not every haunting has to be scary. Sometimes, spirits just want to laugh, play, and join in on our daily lives.
Closing Thoughts
This episode cracked me up because these four spirits are just living their best afterlife, bringing laughter and confusion to anyone who crosses their path.
